Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Reportedly Working On Three Variants Of The Surface All-In-One PCs

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is expected to release its latest products from its Surface line of products and this year the firm is reportedly planning to unveil 3 versions of its all-in-one Surface PC.

There have been rumors that the firm is working on the all-in-one versions since June and the latest reports about the subject matter indicate that the company is testing three different display sizes. The different variants include a full HD 21-inch screen, a 24-inch 4K display, and a 27-inch 4K display. Despite the rumors, Microsoft has been relatively silent about its latest developments from the Surface line. It is therefore not clear whether the products will be available in the market anytime soon.

Microsoft has been known to test a variety of products intended for the Surface line but only a few of them make it into the limelight. Last year the company introduced the Surface Book alongside the Surface Pro 4 which was an update from the previous Surface Pro devices. If the company is indeed working on an all-in-one product line, then it will obviously be quite different from other AIO devices manufactured by other companies such as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Lenovo Group and HP Inc (NYSE:HPQ) among others.

The rumors may have a bit of truth to them because, in July, Microsoft hinted that it might launch a new Surface-branded product in 2016 and three more products in 2017. A report from Windows Central claims that the firm will launch the second generation Surface Book which will feature an upgraded hinge that will allow it to close flush like a regular laptop. Then again Microsoft has not released any details about it.

There have also been questions about the processors that will be fitted into the devices, as well as rumors that the company might decide to delay the launch of the products until next year so that they will be fitted with the new Kaby Lake processors from Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC).
