On February 20, 2018, William W. Crouse notified The Medicines Company (the “Company”) of his decision to retire from the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Company effective as of the Company’s 2018 annual meeting of shareholders. Mr. Crouse has been a member of the Board since 2003. Mr. Crouse’s decision to retire was not due to any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
