Rumors are rife that the Tesla Model 3 will surprisingly be first launched in Asia before the US and Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has revealed the launch date.

The Model 3 is by far the most anticipated vehicle from Tesla and customers all around the world have preordered about 400,000 units of the Model 3. The base version of the Tesla Model 3 will be priced at $36,000 which is part of the reason the vehicle has been highly anticipated.

Tesla Model 3 launch dates confirmed?

Tesla has been secretive about the launch dates of the Tesla model 3, perhaps because the dates were not yet set and for various other reasons. However, there is good news because the electric vehicle manufacturer has revealed the production launch dates which will be July 1, 2017, for the first bunch. Unfortunately, Tesla is yet to reveal the actual date that customers will get their vehicles.

“The potential is huge, and Tesla is fully committed to developing the Chinese market,” stated Ren Yuxiang, the VP of Tesla for the Asia pacific region.

No More Skepticism about the Tesla Model 3 launch

The Tesla Model 3’s recent announcements are expected to eliminate all doubt about the launch of the vehicle. There was a lot of speculation that the launch would be pushed back to 2018. Tesla also has plans to launch a production facility in China.

In 2015, Elon Musk pointed out that his company was thinking of having a Chinese partner to assist in production in China. Early production in the Asia region could mean early delivery in the region. This could also lead to the rumors which are currently circulating concerning Tesla Model 3 launch in Asia.

Tesla stock closed the recent trading session at $208.99, a step up by $1.54 compared to the value of the stock at the previous close. The trading volume of the stock was 2.39 million.
