On January24, 2017, Starbucks Corporation (the Company) issued a
press release announcing the nomination of Rosalind Brewer, Jrgen
Vig Knudstorp and Satya Nadella for election to the Companys
Board of Directors at the Companys 2017 Annual Meeting of
Shareholders. The Company also announced that James G. Shennan,
Jr. will retire from the Companys Board of Directors immediately
prior to the Annual Meeting in accordance with the Companys
Corporate Governance Principles and Practices mandatory
retirement age requirements. A copy of the press release is
attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
