Son Of China’s Richest Man Buys 8 Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 7s For His Dog

The son of China’s richest man in perhaps what is a show of wealth and privilege has purchased 8 Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 7 handsets for his dog.

Wang Sicong who is the only son of Wang Jianlin, China’s richest man, decided to purchase the iPhones for his dog on the launch date. Jianlin is worth $30 billion and he acquired his wealth in real estate.

Coco gets privilege that most people only dream of

The dog whose name is Coco has its own social media accounts but so do many other pets. However, belonging to the son of China’s richest man means the dog gets to own 8 of the latest iPhone model even before most people get to own the handset. Coco is thus most likely the only dog to own an iPhone.

How Does Coco Feel About The iPhone 7s?

Coco made an appearance on social media laying next to the stacked iPhone 7 boxes. The accompanying social media post read, “I don’t understand all the show-off posts on (social media).” Though the post has been making headlines, the dog doesn’t even know what the boxes are for likely does not care for the fact that it belongs to the son of China’s richest man. The dog probably likes bacon, though.

As for the post, perhaps Wang was trying to make a statement that he is wealthy. Of all the ways to make a statement, this is by far one of the more outrageous ways of spending money. The billionaire’s son has been known to live an extravagant lifestyle that has been criticized a lot. Last year, he posted photos of his dog wearing two Apple Watches including luxury bands. The watches were estimated to cost $37,000.

China’s state media has been constantly criticizing Wang for flaunting his wealth. Perhaps giving your dog expensive gifts is something to do when you are the son of China’s richest man.

Apple stock closed the recent trading session at $113.57, down by $0.01 or 0.01% compared to the value of the stock at the close of the previous trading session.
