Preorders Of Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) First AirPods Arrive In Australia And New Zealand

That the branded wireless headphones for Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were not available on the devices’ release in September 2016 was not well received by Apple’s customers. However, after a month of delays, the tech giant has kept its part of the bargain; the branded wireless headphone product went up for sale on Dec. 13. But who are the first beneficiaries? Media reports have said that those who placed orders within the first two hours of AirPods availability have been scheduled to start receiving a pair of the product.

The item is hotly anticipated given that a multitude of people in New Zealand and Australia could be seen lining up in stores early ahead of store openings. Those who already received word that their orders had been shipped will have their items arrive by December 21.

The initial supply of AirPods was quickly depleted but they are available in Apple retail stores

Merely hours after release, shipment estimates were pushed back to four weeks according to a report. The initial supply depleted very fast. Customers who have received their AirPods are so far delighted with them.  MacRumors reader Jason being one of the customers says, “The sound is a lot better than I had anticipated. It can go very loud. Overall, after testing for only 15 minutes or so, sound is a bit better than the EarPods I received with my iPhone 7 Plus, which I mostly felt pretty impressed with. And they fit extremely well into my ear – really don’t feel like they will fall out. Very snug!”

However, even with the depletion of the initial supply, Apple says that they will be available in regular stores, as well as from third-party retailers like Best Buy, as early as next week.

Features of the highly anticipated AirPods

Notably, the demand for the new product is very high judging by the preorders that are still streaming in, but the constrained supply will likely hit back at many. Nonetheless, those who pick up the pods will be privy to features the likes of being able to sync, and very high quality sound. The AirPods are automatically on, and always connected, and surprisingly, 15 minutes of charging can give three hours of listening time. A single charge delivers five hours of listening time.

Meanwhile, Apple’s stock closed at $115.97 witnessing an increase of $0.15 or 0.13%.
