Pivot Pharmaceuticals (CSE: PVOT) (OTCQB: PVOTF) has selected commerce platform Shopify to build an online channel to sell its premium bio-cannabis products.

The two companies have signed an agreement to build the online sales platform. Pivot said it will take advantage of Shopify’s e-commerce platform to create a state-of-the-art, online destination for consumers in Canada seeking quality bio-cannabis products.

No agreement terms or details regarding the planned online e-commerce website were released by the company.

Why Important Move for Pivot

Pivot said it made a significant investment in the acquisition and licensing of patented drug delivery technologies and developed differentiated cannabis formulations using pharmaceutical grade CBD and THC isolates as active ingredients.

In addition, the company said it created the largest catalog of bioavailable, stable and effective cannabis products by working with a network of pharma product experts.

The company will market all of its products under the Pivot Naturals brand. The products will be manufactured at GMP-accredited facilities in Canada, California and the EU.

So, the company needs an online platform to distribute its products directly to consumers in Canada. The company believes Shopify is the perfect platform to build its online sales channel.
