Office Depot Inc (NASDAQ:ODP) Unveils Early Deals For Black Friday In Its Stores And On Its Website

Office Depot Inc (NASDAQ:ODP) has announced early discounted deals for shoppers at its brick and mortar stores and its website ahead of Black Friday.

The company announced that it is giving customers an early start with its Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers. The deals will be available for customers through the company’s website as well as in its OfficeMax retail stores. They will kick off on October 29 and close on November 28. The firm wants to help its customers to save time and cash during this year’s holiday season by introducing discounted prices for a wide range of products. Customers can purchase these products from Office Depot for their family, friends, co-workers, and businesses.

“Customers are shopping earlier each year. By offering more deals on tech, services, furniture and more, earlier and weekly until Black Friday, we hope to make the holiday shopping experience even better for them,” stated Marko Ibrahim the senior VP of Office Depot Retail in the North American region.

Office Depot is currently one of the major suppliers of business products, services, and office supplies. The company is confident that offering Black Friday deals will help to push sales and this is a strategy that is often employed by many companies during the season. Some of the major retail companies such as Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) record high sales numbers through Black Friday deals because shoppers usually save up their money to take advantage of such deals when available.

A recent report suggested that the number of shoppers that are taking advantage of Black Friday is becoming smaller a year-round discounts become more popular. Analysts believe that Black Friday is rapidly losing its significance. However, there are still many shoppers taking advantage of this day despite the claims suggesting its growing insignificance. Such reports have most likely been fueled by the fact that retailers have started to treat Black Friday as a phenomenon that takes place over a matter of weeks rather than a single day.

Office Depot stock closed the latest trading session on Thursday at $3.73 after a 0.54 percent gain compared to the value of the stock during the previous close.
