On October 13, 2017, New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) closed on the previously announced public offering of 5,400,000 shares of the Company’s 8.00% Series D Fixed-to-Floating Rate Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, $0.01 par value per share (“Series D Preferred Stock”). The issuance and sale of the 5,400,000 shares of Series D Preferred Stock, including 400,000 shares issued to the partial exercise of the underwriters’ option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares of Series D Preferred Stock, resulted in total net proceeds to the Company of approximately $130.4 million after deduction of underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses. The Series D Preferred Stock has been approved for listing on The Nasdaq Global Select Market.
