Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Announces Presence At Gamescom 2016 With a Test

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has revealed that it will be in attendance at this year’s Gamescom. The company has announced that it will not host an Xbox press conference but will instead divert those who will be in attendance to the Xbox FanFest experience. The tech giant has not revealed much about the plans, but it is clear that FanFest will be open to the general public. It will also present a chance for Xbox fans to get upcoming titles. The move does not mean that Microsoft plans to take the same exit route that EA took when it decided to host its own conference.

Microsoft will still be at Gamescom to present its latest game titles such as ReCore, Halo Wars 2, We Happy Few, Forza Horizon 3, Cup Head, Everspace and Gears of War 4 among others. Gamescom will take place from August 17 to August 21, roughly two months after the E3 2016 conference.

There seems to be quite a good line up meaning this year is turning out to be quite exciting for gamers. On Microsoft official stated that the reason behind the company’s decision is so that it can facilitate a more intimate FanFest experience for its Xbox fans from all around the world who will attend the event. The firm claims that it will not hold any press briefing at the event.

The firm has also promised to make gaming more exciting through the cross-platform play feature that will allow multiplayer gaming for Xbox owners and PC owners. There is also a lot of hype behind the company’s upcoming console called Xbox Scorpion which has been rumored to be more powerful than any gaming console on the market. There is also a chance that it might be more powerful than the upcoming PlayStation Neo from Sony Corp (NYSE:SNE). However, it is too early to tell. Nonetheless, Microsoft claims that it plans to bring more uniformity into its gaming segment.
