CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) Pharmacy To Launch Korean Beauty Products

K-Beauty HQ will be launched at approximately 2,100 CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) Pharmacy outlets across the country thereby increasing access to Korean beauty products. The initiative involving Korean beauty product makes it one of the biggest ever across the globe.

“With the launch of the new K-Beauty HQ, we’re able to deliver an extensive collection of new, on-trend products…,” CVS Pharmacy’s merchandising vice president, Alex Perez-Tenessa, said.

Makeup and skin care

With the launch expected in spring, over 100 new beauty products hailing from South Korea will be made available. Some of the products will be exclusively available to CVS Pharmacy. To curate the wide selection of makeup and skin products, CVS Pharmacy forged a partnership with Alicia Yoon, the founder of Peach & Lily, an online retailer specializing in Korean beauty products. Some of the products that will be available include whimsical cosmetics, multi-step skincare regimens and benefit-focused masks. Innovative ingredients such as snail mucin and egg oil will also be available.

Besides helping in the curation process, Yoon will also the unveil Peach Slices brand exclusively at CVS Pharmacy outlets. The brand will consist of nine Korean beauty products made of mostly natural ingredients such as yuzu and honey and cotton masks that are free of harsh chemicals.

Exclusive to CVS Pharmacy

Some of the new K-Beauty brands that will be made available in the United States and exclusively through CVS Pharmacy include Ariul EGG Collection which is an egg oil that assists in the reduction of inflammation, marketed as fighting free radicals and boosting elasticity thereby resulting in a skin complexion that is radiant and bright. Elisha Coy, which according to the manufacturers boasts snail mucin as one of its ingredients and which is widely used to support cell regeneration and to assist in the replenishment of the skin’s moisture, will also be available.

On Thursday shares of CVS Health Corp rose marginally by 0.11% to close the day at $78.85.
