On December 7, 2016, Barnes & Noble, Inc. (the “Company”) determined that Jaime Carey will no longer have the duties and responsibilities of President, Development and Restaurant Group. As a result, Mr. Carey has decided to resign from the Company for Good Reason as set forth in his Employment Agreement dated July 1, 2015. The Company and Mr. Carey have agreed that he will remain an employee of the Company through February 10, 2017 to provide for the transition of his responsibilities.
The Company appreciates Mr. Carey’s many positive contributions over his long tenure at the Company.
