Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone Deal: Send Whatsapp Messages Offline

Unlike many other device owners, Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ:AAPL)  iPhone users will no longer have to wait for data or Wi-Fi signal connection to send Whatsapp messages. Users can now place messages in a queue and automatically send them when a signal is available. All this is as a result of the latest version of Whatsapp that has the iOS update.

For a couple of months now, Whatsapp has been striving to grow by a number of improvements to its service. This, as a result of competition from more advanced messaging platforms. For example, there has been an update to the Facebook-owned app, which allowed users to recall a message before it can be read by its recipient.

Nonetheless, as iPhone users celebrate the new move by the tech giant, ask any Android user about the new update. This is not anything new to them because they have been using it since June 2016. It is new, however, to iPhone users.

Latest version of Whatsapp (2.17.1)

iPhone users who are currently the main beneficiaries of this app will not only queue their messages but they will also be able to send as many as 30 photos. They will also encounter a new ‘storage usage’ screen that allows them to manage their phone’s storage.

But it has not been all rosy for Whatsapp. Earlier on it had found itself in a fix of allegations of allowing messages to be seized without user knowledge. However, the messaging service denied these claims with its spokesperson explaining, “WhatsApp does not give governments a ‘backdoor’ into its systems and would fight any government request to create a backdoor.”

In the meantime, Apple’s stock was trading at $121.94 or 0.06 or 0.05%.
