Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE:ANF) Teams Up With Operation Warm For Charity

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE:ANF) is repeating the charity partnership it had with Operation Warm last year.  The partnership specifically involves Abercrombie & Fitch’s division Hollister.

Under the partnership, Hollister is supporting Operation Warm’s program of donating winter coats to children in need across the U.S. Hollister first partnered with Operation Warm last year and they liked the outcome and have felt it necessary to repeat it this year as well.

Buy and give a coat

Hollister’s campaign for this is Buy a Coat, Give a Coat. With that, for every winter coat sold at any Hollister store across the country and online, a child in need will receive a donation of a new winter coat from Operation Warm.  The campaign will run between yesterday November 29 and December 13. Hollister and Operation Warm are targeting up to 10,000 coats to be donated to needy children.

Monetary donation

On top of the coat donation, Abercrombie & Fitch will also donate money to Operation Warm’s course. The company said that Hollister will donate $1 for every use of Hollister + Operation Warm Snapchat Geofilter feature. The monetary donation campaign targets up to $10,000 by the end of December 2.

Abercrombie & Fitch considers the partnership with Operation Warm as its contribution to health and wellness programs that improve the lives of American children and teens in need.

More than 2 million coats given out

Operation Warm is a nonprofit organization that manufactures winter coats for needy children in the country. Since its creation in 1998, the organization has given more than 2 million new winter coats to needy children in the U.S. and partnerships such as Buy a Coat, Give a Coat allow Operation Warm to reach more needy children with high-quality winter coats.

As for Abercrombie & Fitch, the company is hoping to make a meaningful impact in the lives of needy children.

“We are excited for the continuation of this program and we are looking forward to providing new, warm coats for children across the country this holiday season,” said Brand President of Hollister Kristin Scott.

Abercrombie & Fitch stock is gained 2.1% to close at $15.09 in the last session. But the stock is down more than 44% YTD.
