In the new arrangement, iPayment will facilitate acceptance of cryptocurrencies for merchants and their partners. Aliant Payment has a crypto processing gateway which allows merchants to accept digital currencies like Bitcoin and Litecoin. Through the partnership, iPayment will facilitate its partners and merchants who are seeking to accept payments in digital assets to access Aliant’s Crypto Processing Gateway.
In a statement, Aliant Payment Systems founder and CEO Eric Brown said the company’s main goal is to be a pioneer in adopting and facilitating cryptocurrencies in the mainstream payment space. He added that partnering with established companies like iPayment will propel the company to achieving this goal.
On his side, iPayment Senior Vice President Denise Tahali said that the payment landscape is always changing and the market is always looking for more innovative means of payment. He noted that the company is seeking partnerships with other firms that are not only pursuing the same changes but are also developing innovative solutions to help solve some of the challenges in the sector. Tahali says they anticipate building on the partnership and introducing the acceptance of cryptocurrencies in its system.

From this partnership, iPayment will now supply its partners and merchants with Aliant’s Crypto Processing Gateway on a need basis.
