Windstream Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:WIN) has announced the introduction of an enhanced version of its Cloud Connect solution that is designed to offer highly secure access to public & private cloud providers.
The enhanced Could Connect Solution lets customers select the Windstream network they want to use to create a highly secured, dedicated and high-speed cloud-optimized network connection. This enhanced solution allows them to connect to major Cloud Service Providers such as Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Azure or Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) Amazon Web Services (AWS) among others.
The demand for dedicated, reliable and highly secure access to cloud resources has grown significantly as enterprises migrate business processes and mission-critical work-loads to cloud platforms. These enterprises are demanding security, uptime and higher performance levels for cloud-based applications and public internet connections are often not able to meet these demands. Windstream is determined to offer the best levels of performance as part of building trust with clients when they connect to their cloud service providers.
“Windstream Cloud Connect enables customers to confidently and more cost-effectively migrate mission critical applications, workloads and business processes to the cloud,” stated Joseph Harding, the enterprise chief marketing officer and executive VP at Windstream.
Harding also pointed out that the company was confident that it will offer a confident and more efficient experience for both mid-sized as well as large enterprises. Windstream also aims to offer better services than its rivals. The Cloud Connect Service gives customers flexible bandwidth options that range from 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps. The solution also offers the ability to design the solutions for the customers through multiple 10 Gbps connections.
The enhanced Cloud Connect solution also boasts of various connectivity options such as VLS, MPLS VPN, SD-WAN. It also includes new wavelengths that provide customers with the diversity and flexibility that they desire to form a cloud-optimized network. the solution is also characterized by round-the-clock technical assistant from a team of Windstream engineers. The solution also lets customers to move workloads and data between cloud environments with ease.
Windstream stock closed the latest trading session on Wednesday at $2.01 after tanking by 2.43 percent from the previous close.
