On December 17, 2018, Jeff M. Fettig notified the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Whirlpool Corporation (the “Company”) that he will retire as Executive Chairman of the Board and as a director of the Company, effective as of December31, 2018.

Also on December 17, 2018, the Board appointed Marc R. Bitzer, the Company’s current Chief Executive Officer, to serve as Chairman of the Board, effective as of January 1, 2019.
