Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA), is going to provide some news about the highly-anticipated Model 3 electric sedan this weekend.

In a response to a question on Twitter, Musk said that fans should expect some news about the Model 3 release date on Sunday, CNBC reported.

Tesla is expected to the Model 3 sedan later this year. The company has received more than 400,000 pre-orders for the new electric sedan.

The Model 3 has been touted by Musk as a smaller, less expensive version of the Model S. However, it won’t be as advanced as the Model S. The Model 3 will be offered at $35,000, compared to $68,000 for the Model S.

Recently, Musk said that Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is on track to start Model 3 production in July. The automaker expects to produce 5,000 cars a week “at some point in 2017,” and then boost the production to 10,000 vehicles a week “at some point in 2018.”

Model 3 Could Be 10 times Safer Than Average Car

Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas predicted that the Model 3 could be significantly safer than the average car currently on the road. The analyst believes that safety will be a major sales driver of the upcoming all-electric four-door compact luxury sedan.

“We think the Model 3 will feature hardware and software that provide a level of active safety that could significantly lead all other cars on sale today and could, if the company achieves its goal, be an order of magnitude (i.e. 10x) safer than the average car on the road,” Jonas wrote in a note.

“According to nearly every OEM we talk to, safety is the number 1 determinant of car purchases. Look for safety to be the ‘ah-hah!’ moment for this car due to launch this year,” Jonas wrote.

Meanwhile, shares of Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) were trading up 0.43% in the morning session. The is nearly 70% up so far this year.
