T-Mobile US Inc (NASDAQ:TMUS) Dishes Out An Extra Line In Its Latest Promotion

T-Mobile US Inc (NASDAQ:TMUS) subscribers who have at least two voice lines will get an extra one at no cost. The offer will particularly benefit those already under the T-Mobile One plan as well those on Simple Choice plans. This is a great deal for those seeking unlimited data, which will be available on the One plan.

However, there is a cost to incur for anything past a 28 GB threshold. For the first line, the cost will be at $70 per month while the second and the third lines will be at $50 and $20 respectively. With this offer, it is clear that T-Mobile is aggressively seeking a market for its unlimited One plan. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that the carrier has not been registering new lines since January.

T -Mobile is no stranger to making big moves

For the last few years, the carrier has been hitting the market harder and with strategic moves all in the name of attracting new sign-ups. It has been at the top of activity trying to snatch subscribers away from the other carriers. Its latest promotion of the extra line starts on 1st March and it is expected to push the T-Mobile subscribers into buying new devices.

In a press release, president, and CEO of T-Mobile, John Legere noted, “Today, I’m thanking customers by giving them one of the things they want the most – a way to connect more of their family or more of their devices all the time. That’s why we’re giving customers a free line to use any way they choose!”

Offer comes as T-Mobile continues battle against Verizon Communications Inc.(NYSE:VZ)

The two are in stiff competition and given that they are both giants in the market, each is seeking to be at the front. T-Mobile is not taking the naming of its rival as the best network in the US, kindly. This will be the seventh time in a row That Verizon beat out T-Mobile.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile’s stock was trading at $62.53 witnessing an increase of $0.36 or 0.58%.
