Supreme Cannabis Gets Approval to Boost Production at Kincardine Plant

7ACRES, a subsidiary of Supreme Cannabis Co. (TSXV: FIRE) (OTCQX: SPRWF), has received approval to increase production capacity of its facility in Kincardine, Ontario.

“7ACRES-branded dried flower has received enthusiastic reviews from consumers across Canada. With this additional production capacity, we’ll be able to better satisfy the demand from cannabis enthusiasts coast-to-coast,” Supreme Cannabis President and Founder John Fowler said in a statement.

Kincardine Production

After the approval, 7ACRES will begin cultivating approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of additional flowering rooms at the Kincardine plant.

As a result, the total flowering room space will increase from 90,000 sq. ft. to 120,000 sq. ft., while 7ACRES’ annual production capacity estimate will increase from approximately 13,300kg to 17,500kg.

Meanwhile, 7ACRES also received licensing approval for production space designated for plant micropropagation.

7ACRES Facility Unique in Canada

7ACRES is a federally-licensed producer of cannabis operating inside a 440,000-sq.-ft. facility in Kincardine.

The Kincardine facility remains on-track for total construction completion of all flowering rooms by the end of March 2019. The company expects that additional flowering rooms will be approved by Health Canada in the near term.

With further production efficiencies and the completion and licensing of all 25 flowering rooms, 7ACRES expects the potential capacity of its facility to reach approximately 50,000kg per year.

Once completed, 7ACRES will have a greenhouse footprint of approximately 300,000 sq. ft., with the total facility reaching over 440,000 sq. ft.

Supreme Cannabis believes that the 7ACRES facility is, in its words, “unique in Canada for its ability to produce high-quality cannabis on a commercial scale. Each of the facility’s modular flowering rooms utilize industry-leading HPS lighting technology to provide indoor quality lighting that is supplemented by the sun to improve terpene and cannabinoid production.”

According to the company, the facility’s modular design allows each flowering room to provide variable environmental conditions tailored to the specific needs of the crop in production, while also reducing the risk of crop loss.
