The stock of NetSuite Inc (NYSE:N) closed at $90.34 gaining 20.64% in yesterday’s trading session. SunMoon Food Company in a bid to support rapid global expansion has proceeded to implement the NetSuite OneWorld.
SunMoon was established back in 1983 and since then it has remained committed to distributing diverse fresh and sustainable produce from the ready-to-eat sweet corn to the premium frozen durians. The ‘SunMoon Quality Assurance’ standard has brought it to the limelight that the produce is usually outsourced directly from about 200 selected and certified suppliers. The provider is usually keen when it comes to checking out for quality, freshness, traceabilty and safety.
The ones that get to benefit from the products are the various health-conscious consumers around the world across several major supermarkets, ecommerce channels and SunMoon’s own franchise outlets.
Before resorting to the NetSuite OneWorld, SunMoon was fundamentally accustomed to using emails to correspond with its suppliers, farmers and customers. Some of the undertakings included order management, stock taking, billing and invoicing. This processes called for significant manual coordination, making it almost impossible to make a good tracking of orders or compare quotes. That in a major way impacted the company’s growth potential as well as its productivity.
SunMoon’s suppliers are empowered by the NetSuite OneWorld and are thus able to enter packaging sizes, expiry dates and other details from any internet-connected device into the cloud-system. It is from such information that the provider can move ahead and in a much easier way come up with a quote for any of the customers. The process is much simplified for the customer since accepting only requires that one makes a mere click. It is from that point that NetSuite OneWorld is then able to automatically send a PO to the farmers and upon the fulfillment of the order, an invoice is generated.
The Deputy Chairman and CEO of SunMoon Food Company Limited, Gary Loh, opined, “”SunMoon offers over 200 products through more than 11,000 points of sales to 169 customers in 20 countries, and these numbers are growing daily. With NetSuite OneWorld, we’ve been able to move our products seamlessly.”
