On February 14, 2019, Standard Motor Products, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the three months and year ended December 31, 2018. A copy of such press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.

On February 12, 2019, Frederick D. Sturdivant announced that he will retire from the Board of Directors of the Company at the end of his current term of office in May 2019. Following Mr. Sturdivant’s decision, upon the recommendation of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, the Board of Directors decreased the size of the Board from eleven directors to ten, effective as of May 16, 2019.

Standard Motor Products, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of replacement parts for motor vehicles in the automotive aftermarket industry with a focus on heavy duty, industrial equipment and the original equipment service market. The Company operates through two segments: Engine Management Segment and Temperature Control Segment. The Engine Management Segment manufactures and remanufactures ignition and emission parts, ignition wires, battery cables, fuel system parts and sensors for vehicle systems. The Temperature Control Segment manufactures and remanufactures air conditioning compressors, air conditioning and heating parts, engine cooling system parts, power window accessories and windshield washer system parts.
