Sony Corp (ADR)(NYSE:SNE) Reveals Its New Xperia Smartphones

Sony Corp (ADR)(NYSE:SNE) has hit the market again in Taiwan having unveiled four new smartphones. The tech giant showcased Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs, mid-range Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra during the Mobile World Congress 2017, which was held in February. Xperia XZs will go on sale first and particularly in the second quarter.

However, the Xperia XZ, which will not be in the market until June, is a little way above the Xperia XZs. Sources have it that it will be accompanied by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor.

Sony fans can now make an online order of the Xperia XZ

The flagship Smartphone is yet to hit the market officially. However, the company has provided an online pre-order service of the Xperia XZ Premium through e-commerce giant, Amazon. The device, which is being viewed as Sony’s most advanced Smartphone, will trade at a cost of £649 in other select markets across Europe.

In addition to the device, Dutch customers will receive a free Sony SRS-XB30 speaker worth €169. The same promotion is expected to be available in Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands even though the company has not confirmed the actual period.

The brand new Xperia XZ Premium has a wide array of features

Apparently, Sony’s Xperia XZ Premium garnered much attention at the MWC perhaps because of its features. They cannot be compared with some of the current crops of other flagship phones. We are talking about a 4K HDR display, the latest Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology, and its 5G network readiness among others.

The device hosts a 13MP camera on the front, which provides a view of 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS sensor. The photography hardware; that is the state-of-the-art 19MP Motion Eye camera cannot be ignored. Its capability of recording ultra slow-motion videos at 960fps is worth mentioning.

Lest we forget its storage Xperia XZ Premium has 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, and a 3,230mAh battery. These and many others that may not have been mentioned will be giving the device a higher advantage. Meanwhile, Sony’s stock closed at $31.90 an increase of $0.19 or 0.60%.
