Item 8.01 Other Events.
On November 30, 2016, Rush Enterprises, Inc. (the Company) issued
a press release announcing that the Companys Board of Directors
approved a new stock repurchase program authorizing the Company
to repurchase up to an aggregate of $40 million of its shares of
Class A common stock, $.01 par value per share, and/or Class B
common stock, $.01 par value per share. The new stock repurchase
program replaces the Companys previous $40 million stock
repurchase program that was announced on December 4, 2015, which
was recently concluded by the Companys repurchase of the full $40
million of stock permitted under the program.
A copy of the press release announcing the new stock repurchase
program is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1 and is
incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is a retailer of commercial vehicles and related services. The Company operates through the Truck Segment, which includes its operation of a regional network of commercial vehicle dealerships under the name Rush Truck Centers. The Company, through its Rush Truck Centers, offers services, including retail sales of new and used commercial vehicles, aftermarket parts sales, service and repair facilities, financing, leasing and rental, and insurance products. Rush Truck Centers primarily sell commercial vehicles manufactured by Peterbilt, International, Hino, Ford, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, IC Bus or Blue Bird.
