Resignation of Director

On June 10, 2019,  James J. Scanlan resigned from the Board of Directors of RLI Corp. (“RLI”) for personal reasons.  Mr. Scanlan was a member of the Executive Resources Committee and Audit Committee Chair. Mr. Scanlan’s departure is not based upon any disagreement with RLI on any matter relating to the respective operations, policies, or practices of RLI.

New Audit Committee Chair

Also on June 10, 2019, the Board of Directors of RLI appointed Mr. Michael E. Angelina, a current director and member of the Audit Committee as Mr. Scanlan’s successor as Chair of the Audit Committee.  Mr. Angelina has significant insurance industry experience including an extensive background in risk management. He has served as a member of the Audit Committee since May 2014.
