Pure Sunfarms Begins Supplying Cannabis to British Columbia

Pure Sunfarms, a joint venture of Village Farms International (TSX: VFF) (NASDAQ: VFF) and Emerald Health Therapeutics (TSXV: EMH) (OTCQX: EMHTF), has started supplying cannabis to the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch (BCLDB).

The BCLDB is the provincial wholesaler of non-medical cannabis, supplying licensed private retailers and the government-run online store and stand-alone BC Cannabis Stores.

Pure Sunfarms has begun shipping branded, packaged dried cannabis products to the BCLDB. The company expects its first products to soon be available to retail customers in British Columbia.

Last month, Pure Sunfarms started shipping product to the Ontario provincial wholesaler, the Ontario Cannabis Retail Corporation operating as the Ontario Cannabis Store. Combined, Ontario and British Columbia comprise more than half of Canada’s population.

Further, Pure Sunfarms said that it is in talks with other provincial distributors for potential supply agreements to further expand its presence in the Canadian cannabis market.
