On February 19, 2017, Peabody Twentymile Mining, LLC, a subsidiary of Peabody Energy Corporation, was issued an imminent danger order under section 107(a) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977. The mine involved was the Twentymile Mine located in Routt County, Colorado. On that date, an inspector from the Mine Safety and Health Administration alleged that a miner failed to de-energize a coal feeder prior to removing metal from the moving conveyor. The miner was removed from the area and the order was terminated without injury to any employees or damage to any equipment.
