Nokia Oyj (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) has introduced new services to help meet bandwidth demand. Providers will be able to extend their reach using the 1830 Photonic Services Switch by Nokia. A large number of customers have been able to take advantage of the cost-effective alternative to the expensive fiber that the provider has been serving them with.

Most probably, there will be a strategic deployment of Nokia’s solution in the fast-growing areas. That will create room for Idea to offer high-bandwidth services to its wide array of subscribers. It won’t have to worry much about the added load on the network.

Nokia WDM plays quite a significant role towards the creation of a new access layer. Its scalability is quite an attractive factor to a lot of people. Proper space utilization and the optimization of power consumption are the other positive attributes about it.

The Head of Customer Team – Idea working with Nokia, Nitin Dahiya said that India had experienced unprecedented data usage growth from 2017.This was facilitated by the of the combination of numerous aggressive data plans, new operator offerings as well as the mass adoption of smartphones.
