Ocwen Financial Corporation (NYSE:OCN), NID Housing Counseling Agency Host Sacramento Borrower Outreach

Ocwen Financial Corporation (NYSE:OCN) and NID Housing Counseling Agency, in cooperation with the Sacramento Chapter of NAACP, will hold a borrower outreach activity on Saturday in Sacramento.

Event Details

Admission to the event is free for everyone, which means there is no need to secure reservations prior to the event date.

Attendees will have the chance to discuss their loan modification options, and other housing and mortgage concerns with Ocwen Financial Home Retention agents and NID housing counselors.

Moreover, they will receive the proper assistance for preparing Request for Mortgage Assistance (RMA) packages. They will also be equipped with substantial information about borrower eligibility for federal and state foreclosure programs.

Ray Carlisle, NID President, said that the organization has always been committed to guiding existing and new homeowners alike. Carlisle emphasized that NID has been collaborating with the communities in California as it lives up to its mission. He believes that borrower outreach events like this play an integral role in sustaining economic growth in the state.

The housing market in Sacramento is among the communities that are still hurt by the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. One in nearly 1,100 properties in the area is said to be in foreclosure. Meanwhile, the state has a foreclosure rate of one out of 1,354 properties.

Providing Quality Services

“Ocwen understands that many Californians continue to struggle financially, have questions about their mortgages, and want to explore options to better afford their homes,” noted Jill Showell, Ocwen Financial Senior Vice President (SVP) of Government and Community Relations.

Showell has emphasized that face-to-face consultations have provided the best customer experience in the company’s history. Ocwen Financial has already granted over 85,000 loan modifications in California over the past eight years.

According to the latest US Department of Treasury Making Home Affordable (MHA) Performance Program report, Ocwen Financial is the top-performing company in the industry with its Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).

The report shows that the company has helped 7,811 families to receive a loan modification under HAMP during the second quarter.

Ocwen Financial gained 4.95% to $4.03 on Tuesday.
