Nolan Bushnell’s X2 Games To Operate under Global Blockchain Following Acquisition

Canadian Global Blockchain, a serial investor in blockchain technology ventures, has acquired x2 Games. The acquisition will see Global Blockchain create a subsidiary company that will handle its enterprise and exchange related endeavors. Remaining media, entertainment and gaming related assets will be consolidated with those of x2 Games. The subsidiary entity created by blockchain to run its exchange related business will be headed by its current management team.

X2 games

X2 games independently designed games that integrated blockchain technology to spice up user experience. Nolan Bushnell and Zai Ortiz are the co-founders of x2 games. Nolan is a veteran gaming developer with vast experience spanning over 40 years. The legendary gaming mogul has been indicted in the Video Game Hall of Fame and named by Newsweek among the 50 people Who Changed America. His counterpart Zai Ortiz is a decorated digital animator. His works in Hollywood include Iron man’s J.A.R.V.I.S, and he has created visuals for films like Tron: Legacy, Mission Impossible, and Sherlock Holmes among others.

Futuristic Blockchain-based video games

Blockchain Global has been in negotiations with x2 for about a year now as disclosed by company’s President and CEO Shidan Gouran. The management teams of the two merging companies believe that by teaming up, they will be able to create a trailblazing entity in blockchain-based video games.

Through the acquisition, Blockchain Global will advise x2’s Creative team on application of blockchain technology in the video games. Block’s new division that encompasses x2 games will work on existing and future projects.

Nolan Bushnell will be the co-chairman and CEO of the new alliance. In a statement, Bushnell asserted that, “this acquisition by BLOC will integrate X2 Games’ innovative game development studio and intellectual property within BLOC’s portfolio of Blockchain assets allowing new and revolutionary games to be developed together.”

X2 Games will issue 330,519,541 common shares at $0.15 each as per the terms of the acquisition transaction. Also, Global blockchain is applying to be allowed to trade in US Dollar. The company currently trades on the CSE.
