Nokia Corp (NYSE:NOK) Is Set For Another Market Warm-Up With Android

Alongside the much-rumored Nokia D1C, a new report by a Chinese tipster claims that Nokia Corp (NYSE:NOK) is about to hit the market again with a high-end Android Smartphone. It is said that Nokia will be unveiling the Smartphones in early 2017, with Nokia D1C being the first device to establish brands revival. But there is much more behind the scenes. Leaked images of another Nokia flagship device reveals a pack of Snapdragon 835 chipset along with a 6 GB RAM.

From the images, it is clear that the device adorns powerful specs. However, what can be seen is an all-metal phone with just a Nokia branding at the rear and the rest of the display has nothing much to show.

Take them with a pinch of salt

Amidst several leaks and rumors, there are all sorts of speculations of how the new device will look.  For example, word has it that it will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. There is also the rumor that it sports a metal unibody design and that it has a waterproof capability. However, given that there is no certainty into the leaked images, readers and viewers have been asked to take them with a pinch of salt until they can be verified. Moreover, this could just be an early prototype of the Nokia flagship.

The resurfacing of concept phone Nokia C1

The launch of the first Nokia-branded Android smartphone will take place in the first half of 2017 according to HMD Global, the Finnish company which owns the exclusive privileges to utilize the Nokia branding on mobile devices. But as this gets underway, a concept phone called Nokia C1 has surfaced. The device is said to run on a Snapdragon 830 processor, along with 4GB of RAM but it could have three internal storage variants – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.

Its looks to depict everything that we would anticipate from a new-age Smartphone. Talk of a bezel-free display, a dual rear camera setup, the 3210 mAh battery and the triple-tone LED flash. However, as much as it looks that gorgeous, nothing can be said if the Nokia C1 exists given that the brand has not officially communicated. Meanwhile, Nokia’s stock closed at $4.90 an increase of $0.01 or 0.20%.
