A New Nokia Corp (NYSE:NOK) 8 Android Smartphone Has Been Spotted Way Before Its Launch

The official HMD Global event is somewhere around the corner. However, rumor has it that the company has enlisted a new device from Nokia Corp (NYSE:NOK), which apparently is already showing its specifications on a Chinese website. The pre-registrations of the new Nokia 8 on JD.Com Inc (NASDAQ:JD) comes slightly after the immense success of Nokia D6, an indication that Nokia has hit back with a bang.

But the move by HMD is nonetheless surprising

The possible enlisting of the new Nokia 8 may still not be authentic even though there is so much excitement about the rumor. However, for a while, HMD has been promoting the Nokia looks perhaps in an effort to capitalize on the upcoming Mobile World Congress. Hence the news about the enlisting may not be so much of a surprise.

The HMD event is expected to bring back fond memories about Nokia. Many are those who interacted with the likes of Nokia 3310, which somewhat took the market dominance. Other Nokia devices expected to debut in the event include the Nokia P1 high-end Smartphone, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

Find out what features the touted Nokia 8 device has

There are several images on the e-commerce website that seem to reveal exactly what the new Nokia 8 will look like. The smartphone exhibits a near bezel-less display. However, it is expected to sport a 5.7-inch QHD super AMOLED display alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

There is a likelihood of having the handset feature a 24-megapixel rear camera and a counterpart of a 12-megapixel front camera. In regards to its storage, the device is rumored to have an expandable storage support of microSD card slot, which can comfortably house up to 256GB.

However, it will have two variants of storage 64GB and 128GB and will run on Android Nougat.  In terms of pricing, all is known is that it will have a price tag of CNY 3,188, which is roughly Rs. 31,000. It now remains to be seen whether all, not all the rumored information is true or not. Meanwhile Nokia stock closed at $5.05 a decline of $0.02 or 0.39%.
