New Headphones By Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Showcase A Series Of Setbacks

The stock of Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) closed at 1,035.89 losing 1.20% in yesterday’s trading session. Alphabet’s new Pixel Buds have a number of setbacks and that is why customers need to think twice before making the move to purchase them. These buds are meant to help a user tap into an Android smartphone in real time and make translations.

The company had quite high expectations about them, but matters are not turning out as expected. It goes without saying that these buds were expected to be Google’s take on the popular AirPods by Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL).However, they have been discovered to fall short in a number of ways.

The first set back is their limited support. It is indeed true that these buds will function with iPhones and Android devices with the Google Assistant. However, its translation feature only operates with Google’s Pixel smartphones.

In other words it is only a minimal target audience that can be able to the exploit the full potential of it. These Pixel Buds are apparently cooler than AirPods but the major concern lies in the fact that they appear silly to some.

It seems as if the user chose to walk around town with a white plastic pair of strange-looking earrings. The Pixel Buds do not look as awkward as AirPods. Unlike Apple’s AirPods which makes one appear as if he is walking with a white plastic pair of strange-looking earrings, Pixel Buds looks way better. A large number of users are excited about how easy it is to set them up.

The Pixel Buds have been found by most of the users to be rather cumbersome. At times users find themselves fumbling to fit them properly in their ears and that isn’t generally the case with AirPods.

In a recent interview, one of the users opined, “They’re cheap-feeling and uncomfortable, and you’re better off using the Google Translate app on a phone instead of trying to fumble with the headphones while trying to translate a conversation.”
