(b) On November 7, 2017, James A. Johnson announced his resignation as Chief Financial Officer of NanoString Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”), effective December 31, 2017. Mr. Johnson indicated he was resigning to pursue other professional opportunities. The Company has retained Spencer Stuart, a leading executive search firm, to initiate a search for Mr. Johnson’s replacement.
