The stock of Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) closed at $16.77 gaining 0.72% in yesterday’s trading session. The provider’s former vice president of engineering has been brought on board by Outcome Health where he is expected to help propel the company to higher levels of business success.
This took place on Monday where Nandini Ramani was declared the first company’s chief engineering officer. The new official will be entrusted with the company’s hardware and software efforts.
Over the years, Outcome has dedicated itself to providing in-office tablets to various doctor’s offices. These are the places patients visit in order to access proper health care and a lot of them have reaped a wide array of health benefits.
Ramani has gone down records as one of the biggest hires for Outcome, which recently raised a $500 million round at a more than $5 billion valuation. She happens to be one of the most powerful female engineers globally and will be remembered for having served diligently as a leader for Twitter’s more than 1,300-person tech team.
Vivek Kundra, a top executive working with Outcome was hired in January and he will be the one that Ramanin will be answering to.
In giving her speech, Ramani outlined that Healthcare had for quite long remained pretty close to her heart. She also added that Outcome Health’s impact on society was tangible and quite meaningful.
She opined, “In addition to Outcome Health’s commitment to its mission, the addressable market and track record of growth are remarkable. Building a platform that can deliver better decision making, clinical workflow and health outcomes is a rare opportunity, especially at this scale.”
Twitter is one of the several Silicon Valley social networking giants that Outcome has drawn top executives from. Blake Chandlee was hired by Outcome in April and he was to serve as the company’s EVP of industry solutions and emerging businesses.
Ramani has promised to embrace teamwork since he believes it is one of the basic principles towards success in business. She will be carrying along many years of experience and hopes that will be a major contribution to outcome.
