Koios Beverage (CSE: KBEV) (OTC: KBEVF) announced that it will work with Colorado-based Keef Brands to build its proposed line of functional beverages containing cannabidiol (CBD).

In September last year, the company unveiled plans to release a functional beverage, which would be infused with CBD.

Keef Brands will supply crystalized, water-soluble CBD to Koios that will be added to the company’s existing Fit Soda line of functional beverages. The meger of CBD and Fit Soda is expected to improve the product’s effects, the company said in a statement.

On July 19, the companies will begin production of several test batches of the proposed CBD drink.  Upon completion of the test production, Koios will distribute the products from to select existing clients for trial purposes. Additionally, the company has consumer trials planned with individuals in its local community.

Feedback from these trials will be used to further develop the proposed CBD beverage and prepare it for commercial production and distribution under the Fit Soda banner.

Pending completion of further testing, the company also plans to integrate CBD into its eponymous KOIOS beverage lineup at a later date. When the proposed beverage is released, Fit Sod will be available both with and without CBD.
