IEC Corporation (the Company) dismissed Crowe Horwath LLP (Crowe
Horwath) as the Companys independent registered public accounting
firm.
and for the fiscal years ended September 30, 2016 and September
30, 2015 did not contain an adverse opinion or a disclaimer of
opinion, and were not qualified or modified as to uncertainty,
audit scope, or accounting principles.
September 30, 2015 and through May 15, 2017, (a) there were no
disagreements between the Company and Crowe Horwath on any matter
of accounting principles or practices, financial statement
disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure, which
disagreement(s), if not resolved to the satisfaction of Crowe
Horwath, would have caused Crowe Horwath to make reference to the
subject matter of the disagreement(s) in its reports on the
financial statements for such years; and (b) there were no
reportable events as described in Item 304(a)(1)(v) of Regulation
S-K.
disclosure and requested Crowe Horwath to furnish the Company
with a letter addressed to the Securities and Exchange Commission
stating whether or not it agrees with the above statements. A
copy of Crowe Horwaths letter dated May 17, 2017 is attached as
exhibit 16.1 to this Form 8-K.
the Company engaged Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (Deloitte)
as the Companys independent registered public accounting firm.
During the Companys fiscal years ended September 30, 2016 and
September 30, 2015 and through May 15, 2017, the company did not
consult with Deloitte on any matter that (i) involved the
application of accounting principles to a specified transaction,
either completed or proposed, or the type of audit opinion that
might be rendered on the Companys financial statements, in each
case where either a written report or oral advice was provided
that Deloitte concluded was an important factor considered by the
Company in reaching a decision as to the accounting, auditing or
financial reporting issue; or (ii) was either the subject of a
disagreement as defined in paragraph 304(a)(1)(iv) and the
related instructions to Item 304 of Regulation S-K or a
reportable event as described in Item 304(a)(1)(v) of Regulation
S-K.
