The stock of International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) closed at $142.07 losing 0.18% in yesterday’s trading session. IBM has today made an announcement revealing that it will soon deliver a tailored fan experience through the IBM Cloud at Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It will be unveiled later this month.

On August 26, the general public will gain entry into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the very first time. More than 71,000 players, fans and staff that are expected to attend the pre-season NFL exhibition game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Atlanta Falcons will have an amazing experience.

The Internet of Things (IoT) technology and the stadium’s new fully integrated IT system hosted and delivered on the IBM Cloud will catch the attention of many.

IBM iX and AMB Sports & Entertainment have come together in a joint move to come up with a contextual, more personalized experience for fans. It will be made possible by unveiling a mobile app experience via the public cloud.

Fans will be able to take advantage of the IBM Fan Experience application to access the wide range of services set up to help meet the needs of the different fans. This will of course be regardless of whether they will be following from afar or attending the game in person at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

As a matter of fact, the establishment of the world’s most advanced stadium is a matter that required the harnessing top-most technology available. The close working relationship between the two has made it possible for IBM to achieve its goal.

The Chief Digital Officer and Senior Vice President of AMBSE, Jared Miller opines, “Everything we’re doing from a tech perspective is with an eye toward enhancing the 360-degree experience for our fans on game days. IBM’s track record in that area is helping us accomplish that objective.”

Times are changing pretty fast sparking the need for the various providers to meet fans wherever they are with a personalized platform for fast, seamless interaction. There is indeed hope that the provider will achieve its set objective considering the establishment of Atlanta’s new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
