Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On July 25, 2017, Hope Bancorp, Inc. (“HOPE” or the “Company”) issued a news release concerning its results of operations and financial condition for the second quarter ended and as of June 30, 2017. A copy of the July 25, 2017 press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

Item 8.01 Other Events.

Following the July 20, 2017 filing of Hope Bancorp’s Form 10-Q for the first quarter ended March 31, 2017, the Company received a notice, dated July 21, 2017, from Nasdaq Listing Qualifications stating that the Company is now in compliance with The Nasdaq Stock Market Listing Rule 5250(c)(1).
