On June 14, 2017, Samuel W. Dortch notified FutureFuel Corp. (NYSE: FF) (the “Company”) that he will be retiring effective December 31, 2017 from his role as the Company’s Executive Vice President, from his role as FutureFuel Chemical Company’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, and from any other positions currently held with the Company and its affiliates. Following his retirement, Mr. Dortch has agreed to serve as a consultant for the Company. Mr. Dortch will receive a minimum consulting fee of $100,000 in 2018.

The FutureFuel Chemical Company, a subsidiary of Company, manufactures chemical products and bio-based products comprising biofuels and bio-based specialty chemical products. The Company operates in two segments: chemicals and biofuels. The chemicals segment manufactures chemical products that are sold to third-party customers. The biofuels segment primarily produces and sells biodiesel to its customers. The Company owns approximately 2,200 acres of land, over six miles southeast of Batesville in north central Arkansas fronting the White River. Approximately 500 acres of the site are occupied with batch and continuous manufacturing facilities, laboratories and associated infrastructure, including on-site liquid waste treatment.
