Everus (EVR), a blockchain firm based in Malaysia, has reached a deal with PayCaddie, a payment processor service firm in North America, with a view to offering and collaborating in the processing of the Everus cryptocurrency at retail outlets located in the United States.
Some of the major financial and tech clients that PayCaddie supports and services include Discover Network, Fifth Third Bank, Microsoft, Sizzle Networks, Intel, First Data, Vantiv, AdKiosks, Chase, Wells fargo, WorldPay and Bank of America.
Digital wallets
The partnership between Everus and PayCaddie will allow merchants to accept payments in the EVR digital currency. Additionally, users will be given the ability to pay for goods and services from digital wallets thus increasing demand, acceptance and usability of EVR.
The Malaysia-based blockchain firm has embarked on a global expansion strategy and now has a presence in Switzerland, India and Singapore. In the United States Everus is targeting a network of more than half a million merchants as well as outlets. With this partnership PayCaddie will be in a position of creating synergies as well as opportunities via the channels and partnerships that PayCaddie has formed on the other end.
Offline and online
It will be the responsibility of PayCaddie to direct both offline and online merchants to the merchant onboarding system of Everus known as EverMO. With regards to e-commerce and online merchants the custom payment of API has been designed for integration with other open source e-commerce carts that include WooCommerce, Drupal and OpenCart. Additionally brick-and-mortar outlets that are offline will also be in a position of making use of the payment API at point of sale. This will allow customers to buy in person.
Late last month Everus announced that it was entering the South Korean market. The EVR token which is built on Ethereum’s blockchain can at the moment be traded on C-CEX, LocalBitcoinCash, Kuna and Cryptonia exchanges. So far over 80 million Everus digital tokes have been issued though the aggregate supply that is available is one billion.
