Resignation of Named Executive Officer of the
Registrant

On January 6, 2017, the Registrant announced the resignation of
Daniel J. Harris, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending
Officer of its wholly owned subsidiary, Dime Community Bank,
effective January 6, 2017.

A copy of the news release announcing Mr. Harriss resignation as
Chief Lending Officer is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
