Other Events

On April6, 2017, CU Bancorp, a California corporation (the
Company) and PacWest Bancorp, a Delaware corporation
(PacWest) issued a joint press release announcing the
execution of an Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of April5,
2017, by and between the Company and PacWest, to which the
Company and PacWest will merge, subject to the terms and
conditions set forth therein. A copy of the press release is
attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by
reference. In addition, the Company and PacWest intend to make
available to investors the slides attached hereto as Exhibit
99.2, which are incorporated herein by reference.
