Cannara – Builder of Largest Cannabis Facility in Quebec – Picks New COO

Cannara Biotech (CSE: LOVE) (OTCQB: LOVFF) (FRA: 8CB), a company focused on the cultivation and sale of dried premium cannabis and cannabis-infused products, has appointed Barry Laxer as new chief operating officer, effective August 14.

Laxer is a business leader having over 25 years of experience of leading large-scale operations both domestically and internationally, the company said in a statement.

“We are excited to welcome Barry to the leadership team, knowing his contributions will help accelerate our company to its next stage of growth,” Cannara CEO Zohar Krivorot stated.

Laxer will replace Evan Morris, who has helped bring the construction phase of the company’s Farnham facility to completion.

The company did not mention why Morris is leaving the company.

Cannara is building one of the largest indoor cannabis cultivation facilities in Canada and the largest in Quebec. Benefiting from Quebec’s low electricity costs, Cannara’s 625,000 square feet facility will produce indoor cannabis and cannabis-infused products for the Canadian and international markets.
