Valens GroWorks (CSE: VGW) (OTC: MYMSF), a provider of cannabis products and services focused on various extraction methodologies, distillation, cannabinoid isolation and purification, as well as associated quality testing, has named Everett Knight as executive vice president of strategy and investments. Knight is a cannabis industry expert, having analyzed hundreds of cannabis companies and toured countless facilities globally, the company said in a press statement, noting that Knight has managed one of the only institutional investment mandates focused on the cannabis industry.

Lifestyle Delivery Systems (CSE: LDS), (OTCQX: LDSYF) subsidiary Core Isogenics, which focuses on developing isogenic seed strains and automated cultivation methods for the cannabis industry, received both a temporary nursery license and a cultivation license by the Bureau of Cannabis Control of California. The temporary licenses will allow the company to complete its business model gaining complete control of its infrastructure, including all aspects of genetics, cultivation, formulation, manufacturing, and distribution of its products including its patent-pending CannaStrips. The nursery license allows Core Isogenics to develop its plant genetics technology and produce seeds with identical properties to those used in CannaStrips formula.

The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings (TSX: TGOD) (OTC:TGODF) has signed a royalty-bearing commercial sublicense with EnWave Corp. (TSX-V:ENW) (FSE:E4U) and Tilray (NASDAQ: TLRY). The agreement grants TGOD the right to use EnWave’s Radiant Energy Vacuum dehydration technology to dry organic cannabis in its Canadian operations.

Cannabis firm Medicinal Genomics Corp. has signed a licensing agreement with Tokyo, Japan-based Eiken Chemical Co., Ltd. The agreement covers the use of a dozen patents related to Eiken’s Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification technology. Medicinal Genomics will integrate the technology in its youPCR cannabis testing platform for the detection of cannabis genes, genotypes, microorganisms, pests and pathogens on or in cannabis.

Pura Naturals (PNK:PNAT), which makes eco-friendly earth-conscious health and beauty products, and Freedom Leaf (OTCQB:FRLF), parent company of CBD health and wellness brands Leafceuticals, IrieCBD and Hempology, has signed a strategic alliance agreement. Under the agreement, Freedom Leaf will supply CBD to Pura for use in the company’s health and beauty line of products. The Pura Health and Beauty Line will feature “IrieCBD Inside” with Freedom Leaf receiving a royalty. Freedom Leaf will also assist with marketing, distribution and sales of Pura’s products and receive a fee for the work.

Cannabis-focused agriculture company Terra Tech Corp. (OTCQX: TRTC) is opening a new medical cannabis dispensary in San Leandro, Calif. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on January 11 at the dispensary located at 1915 Fairway Drive.

Wolf has operational and leadership experience which includes 15 years with Hyatt/Hilton Hotels and leadership roles at Teleflora.
