Calavo Growers, Inc. is a provider of fresh food and operates in the avocado industry. The Company is engaged in marketing and distributing avocados, prepared avocados and other perishable foods. It operates through three segments: Fresh products, Calavo Foods and RFG. The Fresh products segment includes all operations that involve the distribution of avocados and other fresh produce products. The Calavo Foods segment represents all operations related to the purchase, manufacturing and distribution of prepared products, including guacamole, tortilla chips and salsa. The RFG segment represents all operations related to the manufacturing and distribution of fresh-cut fruit, ready-to-eat vegetables, recipe-ready vegetables and deli products. It delivers an array of fresh and prepared food products to food distributors, produce wholesalers, supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants.
