CA, Inc. (NASDAQ:CA) Partners With Louisiana State Government In Digital Transformation

CA, Inc. (NASDAQ:CA), a firm that develops software geared towards fueling the transformation of business organizations in an application economy, has disclosed that it will continue to partner with the Enterprise Architecture project in Louisiana state with a view to implementing solutions for identity as well as access management. Across various agencies in the government CA Technologies will assist in the digitization efforts and this will offer better protection of information that belongs to the state and citizens.

The goal of the Enterprise Architecture project is to standardize and modernize information technology services in 16 government agencies in Louisiana. This will streamline processes thereby giving engineers the ability to run applications and services across networks more securely and efficiently.

The project was unveiled three years ago and at the start the focus was on making improvements to the Medicaid enrolment ad eligibility system of the state for close to 1.5 million recipients of the program. Since then the project has become for government agencies across the state.

NASCIO – National Association of State Chief Information Officers, the nonprofit representing state information technology executives and chief information officers has previously stressed how important identity management is with regards to state governments. It has consequently issued SICAM – State Identity and Credential Access management in order to assist states in the implementation of identity management with a view to protecting the data belonging to citizens.

Identity Manager

From the onset implementing CA Technologies’ Identity Manager as well as Single Sign-On was instrumental as residents of the state will benefit from government services that are more secure. These services are agile and they can be run across a variety of networks. They also hold the potential to be scaled in case of increased future demand.

On Tuesday shares of CA Inc fell by 0.52% to close the day at $32.50.
