The contract is expected to be formalized by 17 April depending on the results of an appeal procedure whose ruling is expected by the 10th. Over 79 companies took part in the tendering process and the winners will establish production in Germany once the tender agreement gets finalized. The process of selection relied on the companies’ submission of the concept for cannabis production, pricing, and delivery in the country.

The company was granted 5 out of the possible 13 lots in the tender and they will supply a minimum of 4000kg over 4 years. The medical cannabis that Aurora will produce will be supplied to wholesalers who will be responsible for distributing it to pharmacies and some will be sold directly to the government of Germany.
