Ascena Retail Group Inc (NASDAQ:ASNA) subsidiary Catherines has announced that it has joined the campaign against breast cancer through its new partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Catherines is one of the most influential clothing brands for plus size women. The recent announcement marks the second time in two years that the brand has joined the BCRF campaign. The brand also takes pride in the fact that it has built a culture that is characterized by connections through which they build friendships with their associates. The brand also works hard to make sure that it builds a loyal customer base.

Catherines’ motivation for joining the campaign is the fact that it not only helps the society through awareness and support campaigns but also due to the fact that most of its clients have been affected by breast cancer directly or indirectly. It is thus important for the brand to support the fight against breast cancer together with its customers. The brand revealed that it will provide clients with three ways through which they can offer support by contributing to the cause this month.

The plus size female fashion-oriented brand plans to round off all the purchases made at its stores to the nearest dollar and the extra cash gained will be donated to BCRF. The second option will be where customers will get to choose the amount they want to donate. The last option involves coupons which customers can receive in exchange for a donation of $5 throughout this month.

“All three BCRF donation opportunities will be offered at Catherines stores nationwide during the month of October, and the BCRF capsule collection will be available in stores and online at Catherines.com throughout the month,” the brand announced.

Catherines also revealed that it plans to launch a ten-piece BCRF capsule collection that will provide a chance for customers to show their support. The capsule features a variety of categories including fashion styles, sleepwear, and active wear. The brand plans to donate 10 percent from every purchase out of the capsule to the anti-breast cancer campaign.

Ascena stock closed the latest trading session on Tuesday at $2.38.
