Ascena Retail Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASNA) brand Lane Bryant, in collaboration with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, has successfully raised more than $323,000 in donations with its Give.Share.Love campaign that ended in the last week of May. Through the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation, the proceeds will benefit Nationwide Children’s.
Jim Digan, National Children’s Hospital Foundation President, expressed that the organization, its staff, patients, and their family members, are glad that Lane Bryant has chosen them as the campaign’s beneficiaries.
Launched in April, the Give.Share.Love campaign aims to raise funds to support hospital services. Lane Bryant was able to raise the funds through sales of its exclusive products, a corresponding percentage of which went to the Give.Share.Love campaign, both online and in its brick-and-mortar stores. Moreover, the customers also had the chance to have the cost of their purchases rounded up for the excess money to be donated.
In line with its mission to raise awareness, Lane Bryant also helped the children to get presents for their mothers. Videos of children surprising their mothers for Mother’s Day were then posted on social media networks.
Linda Heasley, Lane Bryant CEO and President, expressed that the brand is honored to help Nationwide Children’s Hospital with its commitment to empowering and supporting women and children.
Digan said that he is thankful for Lane Bryant’s commitment to backing the needs of the hospital and its patients through its efforts.
Lane Bryant also teamed up with Nationwide Children’s Hospital and fashion designer Christian Siriano to host a fashion show at the hospital last month. Hospital employees, patients, and even some of the patients’ family members were featured at the event, showcasing the Christian Siriano for Lane Bryant collection.
In a sentimental note, Digan noted that the fashion show highlighted that collective efforts can brighten the lives of ill children and their families. He added that the entire partnership with Lane Bryant illustrates how acts of kindness can make significant differences in the lives of others.
